An Ordinance Regulating and Prohit;iting the Parkin- of Vehicles for P,",ore
Than One Hour in Certain Deisgnated Areas within the Corporate Limits Of
Taos, New Vexico, And Repealinf_ Ordinanc^ No. 225, Adopted ity the Board
Of Tru=tees Of The Town Of Taos On The 28th Day of lay, 1947.
Be It Ordained By The Board of Trustees of The Town Of Taos, New Vexico:
SEUPION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle o:' any
kind for more than one hour from 8:00 A. M. to 6:00 P. r. , from the first
day of June, 1954 and every first day of June, thereafter, to the first of
October, 1954, and every first day of October, thereafter, in--the following
disignt ±ed and described areas, to-wit:
(a) On any public place in the area commonly known as La Plaza, in the
Town or Taos, New Mexico.
(b) On the State Highway No. 3, beginning at the Southeast corner of
Bent Street, and running in a southernly direction throu-h the U. S. High-
way 64, as far Los Ojitos Lane.
(c) On the South Plaza Street, also known as the Santa Fe Road to the
Southwest Corner oy the property kno-n as the Gusdorf'ws residence.
(d) On the Raton Road, being also designated as U. S. Highway 64, from
its intersection with State Highway No 3, East to Dragoon Lane.
SECTION 2. Any person violating the provision of this Ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall upon conviction of such offense,
be punished by a fine of not less than 21.00, nor more that $10.00, or by
imprisonment for not more than five days in the Taos County Jail, or by
both such fine and imprisonment, at the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 3. In the event any section or subsection, part, or provision of
this Ordinance shall, at any time, be held invalid such invalidity of same
shall not if."ect the valid portions hereof and such valid portions shall
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION L. Any Ordinance, or part of Ordinances, in confl4ct with this
Ordinance, are hereby repealed.
Passed anti adopeted by thy. Board of Trustee-; of the Town of Taos, New Mexico
and appro7ed by the Mayor, on this 2nd day cif July, 1954.
