ORDINANCE CLOSING AN ALLEY IN THE TOXIN OF TAOS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Taos:
That an alley, or Right of Fray, described as follows:
Starting at Corner No. 1, the SW corner of P.C. 325, P. 3 of Joy Survey PIPMEENHANO
of Taos Pueblo Grant;
Thence, S. 73 deg. E. 121.95ft. to corner No. 2, the SE Corner of P.C.
325 P. 3.
Thence, 3. 10 deg. 15, W., 44 ft. to Corner No.3, on the North Curb Line
of Santa Fe Road.
Thence, along Curb Line N. 60 deg. 231 W., 130 ft. to Corner No-4;
Thence North 15 deg. 501 & 16, to Corner No. 1, the Place of Beginning.
Starting at Corner No.l, on the SPI Corner of P.C.244, P.1 of Joy Survey
of Taos Pueblo Grant;
Thence, 73 deg. 001 E., 68 ft. to Corner No. 2, the SE Corner of P.C. 76 P.1;
Thence S. 22 deg. 45, W. 291 to Corner No. 3; Thence 8 71 deg. 111 W., 36 ft.

was executed. Same is recorded at Page No. Book No. of
Record of Deeds, Taos, County, N.M.
A Quit-Claim Deed for the parcel next described above was executed in favor of
Bent Lodge No. 42, A. F. & A. M. of New Mexico as recorded at Page No.
Book No. of Record of Deeds, Taos, County, New Mexico.
Included with the above Petition, Ordinance and Deeds was a Map of the Plot in
question drawn and sealed from a survey made by Mr. Cecil E. Ross, Registered
Land Surveyor.
No further b1siress appearing for the action of the Council, motion to adjourn
was made and passed at 10:20 P. M. O'clock.

Minutes of Meeting Aug 10,1953 Cont.'d
h1w. Cecil E. Ross requested, through the Clerk, information re-
garding all increase in his salary as of July 1, 1953. The Mayor directed the
clerk to advise Mr. Ross that such raise had been granted by the Council, con-
tingent upon approval by the Budget Director, and that to date the report of
Budget Director had not been received.
The matter of illegal obstruction of sidewalks on the part of some
merchants was brought up, and the Mayor advised that he would request police to
see to it that the ordinance prohibiting such obstruction was not violated.
The clerk was directed to prepare, so far as is possible, a current
list of individuals and firms subject to occupational tax, and also to list de-
linquencies. Also, a revised list of Garbage Collection beneficiaries, and
delinquents is to be prepared,, and collections effected as promptly as possible.
The Mayor reported that no response has been received ix to the
request for a statement on which to base a Franchise charge, but that more ef-
fort would be made at once to secure such statement. The matter of the R.E.A.
placing and replacing poles without a permit was discussed, and this is to be
worked out bet%een the R.E.A. officials and the Council at an early date.
