I , i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF TAOS, NEW MEXICO: ! Section 1. That beginning with the 5th day of Nov,# 1953, it shall be unlawful fog, any person under the age of eighteen (18) years to loiter, congregate, -�r be upon the streets, alleys or walks, within the corporate j , limits of the Town of Taos; it being specifically understood that persons under the age of eighteen (18) years shall be permitted to attend all properly i'sp onsored partiesy dances and other forms of entertainment, as long as the � are not determined to be unlaw£ull�r loitering on s9id streets, alleys and walks of the Town of Taos. Section 2. The officers of the Town of Taos, and any other officerp autho-1 rized to enforce the laws of the State of New Mexico, shall be authorized to j question any person under the age of eighteen (18) years, who they feel is loitering or the streets of TaDso after the hour of17:4 P.M. i Section 3. Upon the determination that a person under the age of eighteen ; I (18) years has no proper reason for being out past the hour of 11:OOP.M., the parents of said child, or either of them, or the guardian of said chil.d, shall i be fined in the sum of Five Dollars ($5.00) to Fifty Dollars ($50.00) at the 1 iscretion of the Police Magistrate, for the first and second offense for per- i tting the said person under the age of eighteen (18) years to be in violation f this ordianace; for the third offense the parent or guardian shall be fined n the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), and/or receive a jail sentence for a term f ten (10) days; the prosecution for violation of this ordinance shall be !�ithin the jurisdiction of the Police Magistrate of the Town of Taos. i; ii Passed and adopted this 14th day of Sept. , 1953. That beginning with the 11th day of September, 1953, it shall be unlawful for any pe.-son under the age of eighteen (18) years, to loiter, congregate or be upon the streets, alleys or walks, within the corporate limits of the Town of Taos; it being specifically understood that persons under the age of eighteen (18) years shall be permitted to attend all prop- erly sponsored parties, dances or other forms of entertainment, so long as they are not determined to be unlavrfully loitering on said streets, alleys, or walks of the Town of Taos. Section 2.
