"Be it Ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Taos, New M®xico."
. .R. R..R_,. ;'Seati n 1: The P ractice of going in and n P rivate residences in the
town of Taos, New Mexico, by solicitors, peddlars, hawkers, itinerant merobants
and transient vendors of merchandise, not having been requested or invited so
to do by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants of said private residences,
for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchan- :A't
dice, and/or for the purpose of disposing of and/or peddling or hawking the
same, is hereby declared to be a nuisance, and punishable as such nuisance as

a misdemeanor.
Section 2: The Town Narshal and Police Force of the Town of Taos are here- 4 �

b required and directed to suppress the same and to abate any such nuisance

as is described in the first section of this ordinance.

,%otiom 2s Any person convicted of perpetrating a nuisance as described
and prohibited in the first section of this ordinance, upon conviction thereof
shall be fined in a sum not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) or not more
than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), tosether with costs of proceedings, which
said fine may be satisfies?, if not paid in cash, by execution against the person
of anyone convicted of comm=itting the misdemeanor herein prohibited.
Section kJ All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
Sept jinn: It being deemed by the Town Council of the Town of Taos that an
emergency exists, this ordinance ehall be .tn fora, and effect from and after its �?
passage and approval.
