AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER I of ARTICLE I, SSCTION 3 OF THE ORDINAN C�S OF ZH?', TOWE' OF TAOS, NE4 Ir'UCICO. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF 'INE ZCl 'N OF TAOS, N. Y. as follows: Section 1. - Meetings That Section 3 of Article 1 of Chapter 1 of The Ordinances of the Town of Taos, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "The Town Council shall hold its Regular Meetings on a specified day of each month, said date to be established by Resolution of the Trustees of The Torn of Taos. The Mayor may call Special Meetings of the Council as provided by general law. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon its passage, appro- val and due publication. Secrest, Tovm Clerk (Precedes copy of Ordinance as shown above) Courcilinan Ortiz moved the suspension of the rules for the purpose of pas- sing and adopting Ordinance No. 510 at the present Meeting. Mr. Cortes sec- onded the motion. The question being put upon the suspension of the rules, roll was called with the following result: Those voting "Aye" : Cortes, James, Ortiz and Parr Those voting "Nay" n o n e The Mayor thereupon declared said motion adopted and the rules suspended. Councilman Ortiz then moved the passage and adoption of Ordinance ##510. Again the roll was called with the following vote recorded: Voting "aye" CORTEZ, JAMES, ORTIZ & PARR Voting "nay" N o n e The Mayor thereupon declared said Ordinance (##510) duly adopted and passed. Vayor also stated that the Council had becl-, requested to name an assist- ant to the Civil Defense Chairman, or to name some one to succeed him. The clerk to writc. Nx. Frooks., Civil Defense Chairman, to sul.Cest some one to be named his assistant, and that the council would be glad to approve his selection. The Tao,- Inn DininE.* Room presented a complaint that the recent street re- pairE in front of his place of business was the cause of a great deal of dust., and for reverd days had been very detrimental to his business. He asked that oiling- or sprinkling be done to eliminate this condition. Yr. Richard Grainger reported that a drainage man-hole near La Tuatah Court is stopped up, and asked that something be done about it ance, as it could cause great damage in the present condition. The council ordered that 11110 U-TUR1111 signs be erected at Oldham Apts., No further business apeearing for action of the Council at this meeting, same adjourned. Any fence, or any other structure in the nature of a fence, unnecessarily exceedint, the heiCht of TM,"EE FEET in height, mali- rjoully erected, or maintained, for the purpose of annoyinC the owners or occupants, of adjoining property, shall be deemed a private nuisance. SECTION 2. Any such adjoininE property owner, or occupant, In- jured in either hilr comfort., ok the enjoyment of his estate, by _, uch nuisance, may have an action of tc -1 for the damage sustained thereby, and may bring an action to enjoin the ntinuance of said nuisance, and for the removal thereof.
