The Board of Trustees of the Village of Taos ,N .I; .
met in special meeting , in full conformity with the law,
and the ordinances and rules of said Village , at the office
of the mayor in said Village being the regular place of meet-
ing of said Board of Trustees on Monday the 25th day of Feb-
ruary,1946 at 7 ;30 p .m. at which meeting there were present
and answering to the roll call : R. G. Hollis , mayor , W. H.
James , Thomas Tarleton, J. A. Dominguez , Trustees , IL.anuelita
Gonzales, clerk, John B. Sanchez , Attorney. , trustee J.A.
DesGoerges being aLpent.
Thereupon Trustee Y.N. James introduced and there was
read the following ordinance , in full :
Ordinance No. 224
AN ORDINA14CE PROVIDING FOR TF3 ENLARGM7WT OF
THE INCORPORATE LIMITS OF TFE VILLAGE OF TAGS ,
NE°ff MEXICO, AND FOR TI4E INCORPORATION ANNEXATION
OF TERRITORY TO SAID VILLAGE.
It was then moved by trustee Thomas Tarleton and seconded
by trustee J.S.Dominguez , that all rules of this board which
might prevent, unless suspended , the final passage and adoption
of this ordinance at this meeting ,be and the same are hereby
suspended for the purpose of permitting the f inal passage and
adoption of said ordinEn ce at this meeting .
The question being upon the adoption of said motion and
the suspension of the rules , the roll was called with the fol-
lowing result:
Those voting Aye : Wm H.James ,Thomas Tarieton ,
J.h.lominguez. Those voting Nay: None. Three members of the
board of Trustees having voted in favor of said motion , the
presiding officer declared said motion carried and the males
suspended . Trustee Wm.H.James then moved that said ordinance
be passed and adopted as read . Trustee Dominguez seconded the
motion. The question being upon the passage and adoption of said
ordinance ,the rall was called with the following result: Those
voting Aye : Wm.Y. James ,Thomas Tarleton ,J.b. Dominguez. Those
voting Nay: None.
Motion made and seconded to the effect that the clerk was
instructed to pay expense of publishing ordinance Nol. 224 in
the local nearpaper , The Taoseno in the desue of Feb. 26, 1946,
All members in favor and the said motion carried .
With consent of the council , the meeting ad aurned .

ORDINANCE NO. C-2
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TAOS that the Mayor and Members of the Council of the Town of
Taos be paid compensation for attending a maximium of two meeting
per month as per the schedule of Section 14-9-3 (B) , N.M.S .A. ,
1953 Comp.
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that pursuant to statute, the
compensation herein provided shall be paid to the members elected
to this Body after the next election for Mayor and members of
the Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this the 13th day of January,
1970 at Taos , New Mexico.
