AN ORDINANCE VROHISxTYNG THE DRILLING OR DIGGING Or- WELLS
WXTHIN THE TOWN OF TAOS AND PROVIDING FOR TIME LNF ORCEri2NT
OF SAME.
WHEREAS, the long period of drought has diminished and
lowered the water table in the Town of Taos to a dangerous level.,
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the public health, safety,
and welfare, that the drilling or digging of wells be prohibited
within the Town of Taos .
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Taos, New
Mexico, as fo,:l.ows: PAGE 3 -3 &
1 . That drilling or digging of wells within the Town of
Taos be and is hereby prohibited .
2. That this Ordinance shall be enforced by injunction ,
restraining order or by any other lawful process iosuad out
of a court of proper jurisdiction.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and Council of the 'Town
of Taos, Now Mexico, this 6th day of July, 1965.

WITHIN THE TOWN OF TAOS AND PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT
OF SAME.
WHEREAS, the long period of drought has diminished and
lowered the water table in the Town of Taos to a dangerous level,
and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the public health, safety,
