All ORDINANCE MAKING CAMINO DE SANTA FE A ONE WAY STREET GOING
SOUTH FROM SOUTH PLAZA STREET ON THE NORTH TO THE INTERSECTION
OF CAMINO DE SANTA FE WI`PH PLACITAS ROAD ON THE SOUTH, AND
PROVIDING A PE:-'1LTY.
WHEREAS, the regulation of traffic from the Plaza of
Taos necessitates changes in the flow of traffic out of same,
and,
WHEREAS, the public safety necessitates that certain
changes on said f low be made,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Taos as
�4 follows :
1. That it shall be unlawful for any person to drive
a, vehicle on a northerly direction other than emergency vehicles
on emergency duty on Camino de Santa Fe from South Plaza Street
on the North to the intersection of Camino de Santa Fe with
Placitas Road on the South.
2 . Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction,
of such offence, be punished by a fine of not less than $1.00
nor more than $10.00 or by imprisonment of not more than five
days in the County jail, or by both such fine and imprisonment,
at the discretion of the Court.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Town of Taos, New Mexico and approved by the Mayor on this the
6th day of July, 1964.
