ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE MAKING OF A RIGHT TURN FROM EAST
PLAZA STREET UNTO NORTH PLAZA STREET AND IMPOSING A PENALTY.
WHEREAS, the regulation of traffic into the Plaza of the
Town of Taos necessitates the prohibiting of traffic to flow
from East Plaza Street unto State Highway #3 and U. S. Highway
#64, and,
WHEREAS, the public safety and convenience will be pro-
moted thereby,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Taos,
New Mexico, that it shall be unlawful for any person, other
than emergency vehicles on emergency duty, to make a right turn
from East Plaza Street unto North Plaza Street.
,Section 2. Any person violating, the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon
conviction of such offense, be punished by a fine of not less
than $1. 00 nor more than $10.00 or by imprisonment of not more
than five days in the County jail, or by both such fine and
imprisonment at the discretion of the Court.
Section 3. In the event that any section or part of this
Ordinance shall at any time be held invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect the remainder thereof which portion shall
remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. Any Ordinance, or parts of Ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Town of Taos, New Mexico, and approved by the Mayor on this
