AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OBSTRUCTING OF WINDSHIELDS AND RE-
QUIRING WINDOWS IN VEHICLES TO BE TRANSPARENT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and the Council of the Town of
Taos that no person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sign,
poster, or other non-transparent material upon or on the front
windshield, side windows or rear window of the vehicle so as to
obstruct the driver 's clear view of the highway or any inter-
secting highway, or a view from the exterior to the j:_:terior of
the vehicle. It is also ordained that the windshield on every
motor vehicle shall be equipped with a device for cleaning rain,
snow or other moisture from the windshield, which device shall be
so constructed as to be controlled or operated by the driver of
the vehicle.
The violating of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be
deemed to be a petty misdemeanor and shall be punishable as such.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at Tams, New Mexico, on this the 19th day
of June, 1973.
