AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE NUMBERING OF ALL
BUILDINGS WITHIN THE TOWN OF TAOS WITH NUMBERS
SHOWN IN AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS LOCATED IN THE TOWN
HALL, PROVIDING FOR THE SIZE AND TYPE OF SUCH
A NUMBER AND SETTING A DEADLINE FOR THE INSTALLATION
OF THE NUMBERING SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, it would facilitate the more efficient providing
of municipal services to the populace of the Town were all
buildings numbered within the municipality, and;
WHEREAS, the Town, through the generosity ol" many private
individuals and corporations , has now in its possession, and
: available for the use of the populace, aerial photographs showing
the numbers allocated to each building within the municipality.
IT IS THEREFORE HEREBY ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS :
1 . That all buildings within the Town of Taos are to be
numbered by the owner or owners thereof with a number which has
already been allocated to each building, as such number is shown
in the aerial photographs located in the Council room of the Town
Hall on Armory Street, Taos, New Mexico, and there available for
inspection by all interested persons.
2 . That the numbering shall be with a number of the size
;and type approved by the Town Administrator, the specifications and.
samples of which can likewise be obtained and examined at the office
of the Town Clerk in the Town Hall.
3 . That should any individual or corporation fail to
number their respective buildings on or before April 2, 1975, then
and in that event, the Town, through its agents and employees, may
do so and tax the cost of the sign and labor expended in putting
up same to the owner or owners of buildings .
4. That should any such assessments remain unpaid for
thirty drys, the Town may enforce it by refusing municipal services

to the owner or owners as in other delinquincies for. municipal
services.
