AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE N0. 644 •A

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING, REGULAT-
ING, VACCINATION, AND IMPOUNDING OF DOGS AND CATS
WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES AND PRESCRIBING A
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TAGS, NEW MEXICO, that
Ordinance No. 644, be amended to include the following paragraphs:
ARTICLE 3, SECTION 19 PARAGRAPH C:
Any owner presenting a certificate from a qualified licensed
veterinarian to the effect that the animal to be licensed has been
spayed or neutered and the date of such operation, shall obtain a
lifetime license for the animal for a fee of $2.50. This Section
does not exempt said animals from the annual vaccination require-
ments as set-forth in this Ordinance.
ARTICLE 2, SECTION 29 PARAGRAPH C:
The word or cat, shell be stricken.
ARTICLE 3, SECTIONS 3,4, and 5.
Regarding the affixing of metal tags be amended to delete any re-
ference to cats.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Taos Town Council and the
County Board of Commissioners will meet on March 21 , 1979
at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Coronado Center to
consider the following amendment to Town Ordinance No. 644
and County ordinance No. 1977-1 to provide as follows:
ARTICLE 3, SECTION 1 , PARAGRAPH C:
Any owner presenting a certificate from a qualified licensed
veterinarian to the effect that the animal to be licensed has
been spayed or neutered and the date of such operation, shall
