546A MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 6 , 1950. PRESENT: L. P. Martinez , Mayor Wm. Santistevan, Jr. ) Phil -Cantu Counoilmen . M. B. Packard ) Floyd Santistevan ) Arthur T. Noble, Jr., Village Attorney. A Petition was presented to annex the area known as Las Cruces and it was moved by Wm. Santistevan , Jr. , and seconded by Phil Cantu that said area be annexed and all members of the ‘(\ �/ Council voted AYE for said annexation, and directed the Mayor to issue a Proclamation annexing said territory and directed that the description of said annexed territory be filed with the County Clerk. Leon ;server, the assistant Village Engineer, gave estimates concerning extension of water and sewer, and stated that he would (11 0 ( give written estimates at the next meeting. Upon motion made by Floyd Santistevan and seconded by Wm. t'` Santistevan and voted AYE by all members of the Council the Vil- lage attorney was directed to prepare a ;,uit-claim Deed to the Eanketand located in the Plaza of the Village of Taos said deed to be from the Village of Taos to the Board of County Commission- ers , said deed to coumpy en easement of ingress and egress over the Flaze to and from the bandstand. bids from the Taos County Nev.sna ers , El Crepusculo and the Taos Star were received . Said bids reins made for the purpose of publishing the Village Ordinances. Said bids are hereto attached and made a part of these minutes. It appears from the bids that the Taos Star was the lowest bid . It was moved by Floyd Santis- tevan and seconded by M. B. Packard that the bids of the Taos Ste, be accepted 8nd that 300 copies of said Ordinances be printed . Al the members of the Council voted AYE to this Motion . ORDINANCE NO. ,cs/V ,4 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF TAOS , NEW MEXICO, THAT: Whereas, there has been presented to said body a petition properly prepared, signed, accompanied by a plat thereof and praying for the annexation of land contiguous to the Town of Taos and, Whereas, this body deems it in the best interest of the Town that the land therein described be annexed, IT IS HEREBY THEREFOR ORDAINED that the following described land be, and the same is hereby annexed to the Taw►: of Taos, New Mexico, to-wit: Beginning at R/W Marker 1071445.9, a steel rail set in concrete on the Easterly boundary of the R/W fur U. S. Highway No. 64 and State Highway No. 3; thence, South 26 26' West, 40. 7 feet, to the point and place of beginning of this tract; thence, along said R/W, South 26° 26' West, 400.0 feet, to a point; thence, South 53° 23' East, 951. 7 feet, to a point; thence, North 26° 26' East, 720.1 feet, to a point, thence, North 50° 00' West, 137. 7 feet, to a point, thence, North 66° 34' West, 162. 7 feet, to a point, thence, North 43° 27' West, 104.4 feet, to a point, thence, North 27° 42' West, 290.0 feet, to a point; thence, North 76° 46' West, 309.9 feet, to a point; thence, South 27° 28 ' West, 269.9 feet, to R/W Marker 1071445. 9 on the East side of U.
